Reporting and Writing

Throughout high school, my work in reporting and writing has provided the foundation for my development as a journalist. I’m a firm believer that immersing yourself in the process and doing it consistently is the best way to get better at something. Becoming a skilled reporter and writer is no different.

My hands-on experiences has shown me what it means to be a creative journalist. Writing for multiple news outlets and reporting on location for a variety of events have allowed me to publish stories that are accurate and informational, yet entertaining and intriguing. Understanding this fine balance has provided me with a framework for the quality of content I expect from my finished products.

Attached are stories that have resulted from the lessons learned and processes experimented with over my years of reporting and writing. These include print-based work from my high school’s publication, Pantherbook, as well as extra-curricular pieces published in The Boston Globe, New England Football Journal, and Milford Daily News. Additionally, my experience in reporting through a podcasting medium is exhibited in the multiple audio-based excerpts.
