Feature Storytelling

Storytelling has become one of my favorite ways to weave together a narrative and chronicle a story. My ability to direct, produce, and edit pieces are represented in the above clips from Franklin High School’s Panther Pride Night and Franklin Best Buddies' latest fundraiser. Being given the chance to do personal interest stories has allowed me to be more creative and build on my storytelling skills. This work has taught me the value of letting the subject take center stage while using personal anecdotes and quotes to give the viewer a fuller picture of the story being told. Not only has this helped improve my broadcast journalism skills, but feature storytelling also caused development as an editor for our Pantherbook staff members interested in pursuing creative mediums while focusing on a story important to them.
